02 — Why it works

From problem to solution.

01

The Problem

You don't know where price traded overnight — and miss key zones at market open.

02

The Solution

The indicator automatically draws the overnight range (high & low of the night session) as a colored box on your chart.

03

The Result

At a glance you see if the market trades inside or outside the overnight range — perfect for breakout and reversal setups.

03 — Use cases

When do I use this?

  • 01

Market opens inside the ONR → you wait for a breakout above high or below low.

  • 02

Price breaks above ONR with momentum → you enter long using ONR high as support.

  • 03

In the afternoon, price retests the ONR → the zone serves as a reversal point.

Full Description
The Overnight Range indicator automatically displays the price range of the night session. It is particularly useful for index traders who use the ONR as an important support/resistance zone. The indicator automatically detects different indices and adjusts the times accordingly. The ONR (Overnight Range) is the price range between the US session close and the next session open. This zone often serves as an important reference point for intraday traders.
