Before the assistant places an order, one question comes first: does the pattern even hold? The studies below answer exactly that — transparently, with all limitations and no return promises. Free to read.
The first candle of the open session defines the breakout levels. The EA places the orders at that candle's high/low and trails the stop until session end. Researched for the EU/London open (DAX, FTSE, 09:00) and the US open (NQ, Dow, 09:30 NY) - applicable to any instrument.
What the EA handles automatically
Initial
Entry → SL at the opposite edge of the reference candle (1R risk)
Break-Even
From 0.5R profit → SL moves to entry price
Trailing
From 1.0R profit → Dynamic trailing stop in 0.5R steps
The setup is an opening-range breakout: the first candle of each open session serves as the reference range. Not a proprietary secret but an established concept (opening range breakout) — its statistical robustness is examined in our reference-candle studies on DAX, FTSE and the US indices.
